Château du Val d'Or
Premier château historique du vignoble, Château du Val d'Or est créé par Henri-Gabriel Bardet à la fin des années 20. Il lui donne le nom de son village natal en Dordogne : Orval en occitan, devenu Val d'Or.
Excellente situation géographique au bord de la Dordogne, il se trouve du sud à l'est de la magnifique croupe de graves. Ce terroir historique et traditionnel permet l'élaboration d'un vin frais et expressif. La prune noire, le cassis et la griotte soulignent un palais rond et puissant.

- Sables graveleux, sous-sols graveleux. 14 ha, vignes de 41 ans en moyenne.
- Winemaking
- Technique de sélection des baies unique au monde (Tribaie, Calibaie, etc.). Macération : infusion par immersion totale du marc permettant une extraction douce sans pompe. Les importantes recherches sur la microbiologie de nos vins nous ont permis de maîtriser le processus de vinification et limiter l'usage du sulfite. Vinification en cuve inox thermorégulée.

How to serve it
16–18 °C
- Take the bottle out of the cellar half an hour before serving.
- Open it an hour ahead so it can breathe; decant the young vintages.
- Serve it in a large stemmed glass, filled to a third.
