Our world

A family deeply attached to its history, yet also a pioneer in agroecology and in creating new experiences around wine.

The story of Vignobles Bardet began in 1704, along the banks of the Dordogne. In tribute to this history, the gabare, a traditional river boat, has become the emblem of the estate: its bold silhouette, sail in the wind and turned towards the future, embodies our daring approach.

The Bardet family

It all began in the 1920s, when Mathilde Roy and Henri-Gabriel Bardet founded Château du Val d'Or. Their son Roger enlarged the estate and passed his passion on to Philippe, who has run it with Sylvie since 1979.

Today, their four children, Paul-Arthur, Thibault, Alice and Louis, carry this heritage forward.

Our agroecology, since 1983

Since 1983, Vignobles Bardet have been committed to agroecology, conducting the ecosystems of their plots like an orchestra, with the support of scientific research.

Selection on the bunch, berry by berry.

We select our grapes berry by berry, with two machines invented by Philippe Bardet to keep only the very best.

La Tribaie

Sorts the grape berries by density and cleans them, removing debris, leaves and fruit that is over- or under-ripe.

La Calibaie

Selects the finest berries by separating the smallest ones, richer in sugar, from the larger ones.
